“Major Changes are afoot”: A Personal Announcement

by Armond Scavo on October 10, 2013

Hello Everyone,

After 31 years of living in a wonderful house in the wonderful neighborhood of Bella Vista, I am moving to the Sewing Factory Lofts on North 5th street. I will be moving at the beginning of November. I am very excited about my new loft and the potential it has for my new studio,  Everything will continue; my photography, my studio and art shows except in my new Philadelphia  location.

To make my move easier I am selling my current inventory of fine art photography at any reasonable offer.  If your interested please call to make an appointment to visit my studio.

Best Regards,

Armond Scavo

Finding a favorite restaurant by chance: IndeBlue

by Armond Scavo on September 16, 2013

Tonight I had the opportunity to give a presentation of  my Photography Tours of Philadelphia to the Concierge Association of Philadelphia. The event took place in a new restaurant called indeblue: indebluerestaurant.com  After my presentation I went to the bar for happy hour. What a treat!!

I had cocktail and two happy hour menu items; an avacoado chaat and a crispy spinach with a chutney. They  both were absolutely delicious.

I promised Tobi, the gracius and well informed bartender that I would definitely return this week with some friends. It is a new restaurant that deserves to be successful and I promise you will enjoy every mouthful helping them succeed.

I bought a groupon a good while ago for Cafe Chismosa. Living in South Philadelphia I never made the time to try it until last night when we were attending a performance of Cotton Candy Circus Arts at Vintage Cycles. The food was wonderful. We shared the vegetarian bowl and the Leeks and cheese quesadilla. [...]

My 4th of July Tradition

I always look forward to the 4th of July in Philadelphia. It is a week full of patriotic and entertaining events. My celebration starts with what has become a tradition; the Philly Pops concert  with Peter Nero in front of Independence Hall on the 3rd of July. There is a small group of us [...]
